Ashley is a Nebraska native who studied political science at Doane College. In addition to preparing for her legal career academically, Ashley competed in forensics competitions across the country.
After graduating, she moved to San Antonio, Texas to study law at St. Mary’s University. There, she advocated zealously for animal welfare, founding the St. Mary’s Animal Legal Defense Fund chapter and publishing an analysis of Texas animal cruelty laws in The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race & Social Justice.
Ashley began her professional career working on divorce and child custody cases. In addition to family law, Ashley offers services in comprehensive estate planning.
Ashley lives in Austin with her calico cat, Sigourney. She enjoys painting, botany, and aquarium cultivation.
